Clean Baltic Sea Cruise 2015

City of Helsinki and the Baltic Sea Challenge co-organised this annual Clean Baltic Sea event with the John Nurminen Foundation on 20 August 2015. Focus was on the key role that cities and businesses have in saving the Baltic Sea. In addition to improved wastewater treatment, there are a number of actions cities, businesses and individuals can take to reduce their phosphorus footprint.

Besides joint project plans and co-operation with especially Polish cities and water utilities, the steps Helsinki has already taken in the Baltic Sea Challenge and the vision for Marine Helsinki in 2050 were presented.
